Day 1

It’s here… day 1 - our site start happened today, Monday 24th August.

Given I had the day off from work, Mikey and I decided to go for a drive to Point Cook for lunch, and not only did we see our scraped site, but we got to watch them scrape our site.

The workers probably were wondering who the weird guy was taking photos, but that would have been me.

With wild weather forecast this week, it will be interesting to see how it all progresses, with our slab date scheduled for September 2nd, which is Wednesday week.

  • Lisa says:

YaY!!!! Just before the rain too! That first dig of the soil is important as the clock starts counting down now! I hope this weeks weather doesn’t delay you guys too much.

  • Paul says:

Wow… great news! It’s officially started. Great timing to have been able to actually WATCH them begin. Look forward to seeing the progress guys!

  • Matt says:

You just went there for a perve. Roxy says “were booking a room in the new hotel when its done so we can attend the house warming!

Also, Its called Benching by the way, not scraping. You silly IT nerd. (im a construction nerd yes i know)

The idea is it flattens your “site” so that you get better thermal retention and a flat site for a better slab.

Painting is referred to as “Site Surevy & layout” so they know which direction all your services “pipes etc” go.

As per your Kick a$$ plan!!
